Amenities

We’ve approached every detail with the care an artist would give to his or her masterpiece. Our lodge was built by master carpenters, the massive feature beams impose a secure and natural presence in the lodge.  A combustion stove keeps the lodge very toasty over the winter. Below are some of our favorite amenities we’ve curated to give you an intimate and cosy experience.

Handcrafted redwood dining table

Handcrafted redwood dining table

the lodge

Our property is a time out zone with no TV reception and minimal phone signal. Our signature hand crafted redwood dining table (all the way from Eumundi Market) has entertained many guests, feasts and celebrations. Leather sofas invite sleepy afternoons, and cuddlesome nights watching DVDs from our DVD library, or reading books from our travel library.

We regularly get away to the lodge ourselves, so a fully functioning kitchen is paramount for our family. The kitchen will cater well for your needs, containing fridge freezer, microwave, nespresso coffee machine (and capsules), mixer for cakes (we indulge when away), outdoor BBQ. There is a large bench and bench style stools if you wish to dine outdoors. There are reverse cycle air conditioning units in the living room and master bedroom.

Telescope & Night Walks

It's no secret that Mt Buffalo National Park is home to lots of wildlife and lots of activities. Our telescope allows you to watch hang gliders launch of the ramp near the Mt Buffalo Chalet, seek out climbers on the rock faces, bird watch the wildlife on our bird table, or stare into the face of a wallaby (sometimes they sit still enough for an up close look through the scope).

Wombats roam around the lodge as testified by the presents they leave us perched on rocks and logs. If you head out about 9 pm in the evening, with any luck you'll meet these furry friends. Should they look unhealthy please let us know as we try and support their ability to thrive in the area by administering medicines in consultation with the Wombat Manage Management organisation.
